Arrived at O.R Tambo where caffeine became my spirit animal, channelling my inner explorer,I soared into the skies at 05:50 am leaving the mundane behind.Greeted by the Cape town’s majestic landscape,I felt like I stumbled upon a real life postcard 😂😂😂.
Now let’s fast forward through the landing-spoiler! gravity still works.Pre booked transport to dodge the chaos like a travel ninja🤔🤔🤔 as I cruised towards my hideout I couldn’t help but wonder,Did my side bag have more fun in cargo hold than I did☺️☺️☺️ so here I am, standing at the doorstep of Cape town,my bag intanct and a grin that rivals the Mona Lisa’s..What next,you Ask?😂😂😂 We’ll that’s where the adventure truly begins.
Oh as I move through the terminal building,I’m welcomed by symphony of scents🤔🤔🤔 forget Roses- it was aroma of freshly brewed coffee that filled the air.My caffeine radar went haywire and like coffee detective that I am,I traced the delightful smell to none other than Woolworths.There it was,a coffee oasis in the airport chaos.I took a moment to soak in the fragrance, feeling like a character in a coffee scented novel😂😂😂.It was as if Woolworths had secretly woven spells into their beans to lure tired travelers,I surrendered to the irresistible pull and marched straight to Woolworths ☺️☺️☺️ where I embraced my inner coffee snob and ordered a cup that could rival any masterpiece.As the first sip kissed my lips,I knew this adventure was off to brew tiful start
As I ventured into Cape town,the I iconic Table mountain stood tall,a majestic sentinel overseeing the city.The sun determined to make an impression,cranked up the heat-a level i never thought possible,I swear even seagulls were seeking shade😂😂😂.
Undeterred by the unexpected warmth,I hoped into driver’s chariot to explore the coastal beauty.The ocean stretching beyond the horizon,played symphony of waves that serenaded my senses.Cape town with its blend of natural wonders and urban charm pointed a mesmerizing picture.Then in a moment of pure traveller naivety,I set my eyes on Robben Ireland, imagine my surprise 🫣🫣🫣when I realised it wasn’t an Ireland but a piece of history floating in the ocean…oops! Lesson learner! geographical insights can be suprisingly enlightening.
To cap off my day,I indulge my taste buds in another cultural escapade at a Nigerian Restaurant. Egusi became my passport to flavoursome journey. If someone ask me about Cape town, I’d say it’s not just a destination, it’s an ensemble of experiences from scenic landscapes to culinary delights.
